Srinagar:22 May 2014:The
independent candidate of Baramullah Parliamentary Constituency Hujatul Islam
Aaga Syed Abdulhussain Kashmiri in a meeting with his ardent workers held at
Gamdoo Sonawari on 22 May, while throwing light on the political, social and
religious importance of the elections thanked all those who voted in favour of
his election manifesto even to those who didn’t vote for him.
He said that it is my
moral obligation to thank even those who spewed venom against me and desisted
from voting in my favour.
“I wholeheartedly thank
and felicitate the election commission of India for holding transparent
elections in which, first time in our state ‘democratic election’ instead of ‘Delhi
selection’ was ensured”, he added.
Reiterating his stand,
Abdulhussain said that as I used to lament during the parliamentary elections
that for the ongoing political and cultural aggression in Kashmir, which has
brought us on the verge of bankruptcy India
has to be brought under scanner.
He appealed to the PDP and
BJP which bagged 3 seats each in the recently concluded parliamentary elections
to highlight the issues of the people of Jammu and Kashmir in the Indian
Parliament and ask India why it is pushing us in to the cesspool of socio-political
and economical degradation.
Abdulhussain further added that a political front
based on religious lines will soon be floated which intends to nominate
candidates for all the 3 parts of the state.
